Terms of Service
Last updated: January 26, 2026
Welcome to IdeaScope! These Terms of Service govern your use of our AI-powered idea exploration and market research platform. By using IdeaScope, you agree to these terms.
⚠️ Important: AI-generated ideas are suggestions based on algorithmic processing. Always validate ideas independently and use your own judgment for business or creative decisions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using IdeaScope, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the service.
If you are using IdeaScope on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
IdeaScope is an AI-powered platform that helps you:
- Generate and explore business ideas within a free monthly limit
- See rarity labels (Common / Moderate / Rare / Wild) and short novelty explanations for generated ideas
- Save, organize, and manage ideas in one place
- Run deep market research on selected ideas and receive structured research documents (for example, Product Strategy, Market & Competitor Research, Opportunity & Idea Maze Map, Idea Evaluation & Next Steps), delivered as digital files such as PDFs
We may add, change, or remove features over time. Where changes affect pricing or paid features, we will describe them clearly on the website or inside the app.
3. User Accounts
To use IdeaScope, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 18 years old (or meet the minimum digital consent age in your country)
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected breach
- Not share your account credentials with others
Account ownership. Your account is personal to you. You may not transfer, sell, or assign your account or any rights associated with it to another person without our prior written consent. Any attempt to do so may result in immediate account termination.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Digital Content and Withdrawal Rights (EU/EEA)
4.1 Nature of the Service
IdeaScope provides digital content and digital services delivered electronically, including AI-generated ideas and market research documents.
4.2 Immediate Delivery
When you request deep research or similar paid features, you ask us to begin processing and delivering digital content immediately. This is necessary for the service to function as intended.
4.3 Waiver of Withdrawal Rights (EU/EEA)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the law (including Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU) allows providers of digital content to begin performance immediately when:
- You expressly consent to start performance before the usual withdrawal period ends, and
- You acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once performance begins.
By purchasing deep research or similar paid digital content in IdeaScope, you:
- Request and consent to immediate performance and delivery
- Acknowledge that you lose your 14-day withdrawal right once we start generating your digital content
This does not affect any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.
4.4 Our Voluntary Guarantee
Even though we are not legally required to offer refunds once digital content generation has begun, we provide a voluntary money-back guarantee on your first paid research. The details are described in Section 7 (Refund Policy).
5. Pricing, Research Credits, and Billing
IdeaScope currently uses a credit-based model for deep research, with a free tier for idea generation.
5.1 Free Tier
- You can generate ideas with AI within a free monthly limit (currently up to 10 generations per month).
- Rarity labels and short novelty explanations are provided for generated ideas.
- Limits and exact numbers may change over time and are shown clearly inside the app.
- You do not need a credit card to use the free tier.
5.2 Paid Research
You can purchase deep market research in two main ways:
- Single Research: A one-time purchase that runs deep research for a single idea.
- Founding Pack: A one-time purchase that gives you a fixed number of research credits (for example, 3 credits) that can be used on different ideas.
Each deep research run normally generates a structured set of documents (for example, Product Strategy & 30/60/90 Day Plan, Market & Competitor Research, Opportunity & Idea Maze Map, Idea Evaluation & Next Steps). The exact format may evolve as we improve the service.
5.3 Research Credits and Validity
- Each research credit can be used to run deep research for one idea.
- Credits in a Founding Pack are valid for a fixed period (for example, 18 months) from the purchase date. The current validity period is shown on the Pricing & Billing page and inside the app.
- When you start deep research using a credit, that credit is deducted immediately.
- Generated research reports remain attached to your account, even if credits later expire, unless we are required to remove them by law or for policy reasons (e.g., abuse).
5.4 Billing and Payments
- Payments for Single Research and Founding Packs are processed securely by our payment provider (for example, Stripe).
- Prices, currencies, and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you confirm payment.
- These purchases are typically one-time and do not auto-renew. If we ever introduce recurring subscriptions in the future, we will clearly explain the terms before you subscribe.
- You are responsible for keeping your payment information up to date and for any fees, charges, or currency conversion costs applied by your bank or payment provider.
5.5 Price Changes
We may change prices for Single Research and Founding Packs for new purchases at any time. Any changes will be reflected on the Pricing & Billing page and at checkout.
Price changes do not affect purchases you have already completed. Previously purchased credits keep the value and validity that applied at the time of purchase, except where the law requires otherwise.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits, usage caps, or security measures
- Reverse engineer, copy, or attempt to extract our underlying models, prompts, or algorithms
- Use automated tools to abuse or overload the service
- Share your account or allow others to use it as if it were theirs
- Use IdeaScope to generate content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others (including intellectual property, privacy, or data protection rights)
We may investigate misuse and take appropriate action, including limiting access or terminating your account.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Voluntary Money-Back Guarantee
Because IdeaScope delivers digital content that begins processing immediately, we are not required to offer refunds once research has started. However, we offer a voluntary 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid research to make it safer to try the service.
This voluntary guarantee is in addition to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply in your jurisdiction.
7.2 Eligibility
You may request a refund under this guarantee if all of the following conditions are met:
- Your request is made within 7 calendar days of the payment date for your first paid research (Single Research or the first research you run using a Founding Pack credit).
- You have completed no more than one paid deep research on your account in total.
- You have not previously received a refund under this guarantee for this account.
Later purchases (for example, additional Single Research runs or additional Founding Packs) are not covered by this voluntary guarantee, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
7.3 What Can Be Refunded
Depending on how you purchased:
- If you bought a Single Research, we may refund the amount you paid for that research.
- If you bought a Founding Pack and your first paid research used a credit from that pack, we may refund either the full price of the pack or the unused portion, and remove any refunded research credits from your account.
We may ask for feedback on why you were not satisfied, but you are not required to provide detailed reasons.
7.4 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at:
Please include:
- The email address associated with your IdeaScope account
- The date and type of purchase (Single Research or Founding Pack)
- Optional: a short note about what did not work for you
We aim to review and respond to eligible requests within 2–3 business days.
7.5 Refund Process
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Banks and card providers typically take 5–10 business days to show the refund on your account.
- Any refunded research credits or related access will be removed from your account once the refund is processed.
7.6 Quality Concerns and Regeneration
If you are unhappy with the quality of a research report, you can contact us at support@ideascope.io. Where possible, we may offer to regenerate or improve the report at no additional cost. This does not remove your right to request a refund under the conditions above.
8. Intellectual Property
Your content. The ideas and text you input into IdeaScope, and the high-level concepts you describe, remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process this content for the purpose of providing and improving the service (including model quality, reliability, and user experience), in line with our Privacy Policy.
Our content. The IdeaScope platform, including the interface, design, code, underlying models, prompts, algorithms, and all documentation and branding, are the exclusive property of IdeaScope and/or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service as described in these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the service or its output in ways that violate these Terms or applicable law.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep IdeaScope available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
We may perform maintenance, updates, or improvements, or experience outages due to third-party providers or technical issues. We are not liable for losses resulting solely from service interruptions, as long as we act with reasonable care.
Geographic restrictions. IdeaScope is operated from Estonia and available globally, but we may restrict access in certain jurisdictions where local laws or regulations conflict with our operations. If you access IdeaScope from outside Estonia, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, for technical, legal, or business reasons.
9.1 Force Majeure
IdeaScope will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, governmental actions, strikes, pandemics, major Internet or infrastructure failures, cyber attacks, or failures of third-party service providers. We will use reasonable efforts to resume normal operations as soon as practicable.
10. Limitation of Liability
IdeaScope is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- The accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of generated ideas or research
- Business decisions or outcomes based on the service or its output
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service and these Terms will be limited to the amount you paid to IdeaScope in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, certain consumer protection or personal injury claims).
11. Emails and Notifications
Email is how we communicate with you about your account and our service:
- Service emails are required: As part of using IdeaScope, you agree to receive service emails necessary to operate your account. This includes account access (sign-in links), security notices, billing confirmations, and delivery of purchased research reports. You cannot opt out of these emails as they are essential to the service.
- Product updates are optional: Marketing and product update emails are sent only if you opt in. These include feature announcements and tips. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.
- Manage preferences: You can manage email preferences using the personalized link provided in our emails.
- Delivery responsibility: We make reasonable efforts to deliver emails, but we are not responsible for delivery issues caused by your email provider, spam filters, incorrect email addresses, or your email settings. It is your responsibility to keep your email address current and check spam/junk folders.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to IdeaScope if:
- You materially breach these Terms, or
- We reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the service, other users, or third parties, or
- We are required to do so by law or a court order.
You may stop using IdeaScope at any time and can request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases. We will retain and/or delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email, in-app notification, or a notice on our website.
If you continue to use IdeaScope after changes take effect, you are deemed to accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the service.
14. Dispute Resolution
Informal resolution. Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at support@ideascope.io and give us a chance to resolve the issue informally. We will try in good faith to resolve disputes within 60 days.
If informal resolution is not successful, the dispute may be resolved by the courts as described in Section 14.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory dispute resolution rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence (for example, EU consumer dispute mechanisms).
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Estonia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
If you are a business user, you agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the courts of Estonia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you may also have the right to bring claims in the courts of your country of residence under applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you have under such laws.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices or policies published on our website, constitute the entire agreement between you and IdeaScope regarding your use of the service.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision in these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
